When we were building Askflow AI, we had brands like Josh Wood Colour in mind. We knew them well and saw a perfect opportunity to help them offer a top-notch client experience without needing an in-person salon visit.

Quiz Integration

We started integrating Askflow AI with Josh Wood Colour’s Shopify store, aiming to create an easy quiz experience that would boost sales and make customers happy. The Josh Wood Colour Shopify store is built using a headless architecture, with the front-end powered by React. To seamlessly integrate with their setup, we enabled headless mode in Askflow AI.

Maximizing Quiz Placement for Optimal Conversion

When building your quiz, the first thing to consider is where to publish it to achieve the maximum conversion. Should it be a pop-up, a widget, or a separate page? The Josh Wood Colour team decided on a dual personalized approach.

  1. Instant Recommendations: Customers can get immediate product suggestions through the quiz.
  2. Personalized Video Appointments: Clients can schedule a free, personalized video consultation with a hair expert.

While Josh Wood Colour excels in providing top-notch personalized video appointments, we needed to ensure the quiz experience matched that level of excellence. Our goal was to make sure customers received recommendations through the quiz that were just as personalized and valuable as those given in a video consultation.

In the quiz, Josh Wood Colour starts off with simpler questions and gradually moves to more detailed ones. They use a strategy where they suggest additional hair products based on answers to questions like "What help do you need with your hair condition?" Later on, they recommend the main hair coloring product. This approach ensures customers get personalized recommendations that match their hair care needs, making their shopping experience more enjoyable. + increasing AOV from the start.

When choosing hair color (ladies, you know!), knowing your current shade and desired shade is key. In the Josh Wood Colour quiz, we've made it easy with over 50 pictures of various shades placed strategically throughout the quiz steps. This visual guide helps customers accurately select the perfect color for their hair transformation.

At the end of the quiz, Josh Wood Colour recommends both the main products and upselling products. Customers have the option to add either just one product to their cart or all recommended products, depending on their preferences and needs.

Klaviyo Integration

To make sure customers get their personalized recommendations even after they've left the website, Josh Wood Colour uses email through Klaviyo.

Askflow AI connects seamlessly with Klaviyo, so if a customer  leaves the email during the quiz, we'll automatically add him/her to our Klaviyo list. This way, customers will keep getting recommendations via email, no matter where they are.

To sweeten the deal and get more people signing up for emails, Josh Wood Colour offers a 20% discount on the first order. It's their way of keeping visitors engaged and helping them save.

With Askflow AI's custom variables, the Josh Wood Colour team has streamlined the process in Klaviyo. Now, every new customer who leaves their email in a form receives their personalized recommendations instantly. This ensures that even if a visitor doesn't make a purchase right away, they have the recommendations ready and waiting in their inbox whenever they're ready to decide.
